Located on Fayetteville Road in Durham, Berea Baptist Church is a quaint, active community of faith. Join us for our new sermon series: Devoted to Jesus
In early fall 2024 Stephen and Alex Kendrick released the film, The Forge. It is a movie on discipleship and is a reminder to the church that we need to be doing a better job of lifting each other up and taking the time to nurture young and new believers. They also published a book on this topic, Devoted to Jesus: From First Steps to Fully Surrendered. The book contains 52 different chapters which makes it a perfect resource for a church to engage in a year-long immersion into the importance of discipleship in today’s world!
Phil and I feel led to preach on each of these chapters throughout 2025. Some of the themes we will address include who is Jesus, our growth in Christ, our Christian identity, the importance of scripture, the church and prayer in helping us navigate everyday life, and what does total surrender to God’s will for our lives look like. Phil kicks off this series on January 5th. Please join us and invite your friends for this year-long worship event in-person or via live-stream each Sunday or download the weekly podcast.

Current Mission Opportunities
It is once again that time of year when we begin collecting for Operation Christmas Child. Each month their is a different category of items being collected. These donations will be utilized by the children to pack boxes in November. See below for the schedule of donations. These can be dropped off at the Church. For any questions, please reach out to Susan Council.
